I was able to grasp what was going on and really get into the story. Paleoclimatology methodologies cannot be understood without first reading a book of this sort.
The book is an introductory work, written specifically for climatologists, but no attempt has been made to "dumb down" the subject: people with zero knowledge on the subject will not understand much of the material, and they will have to consult other reference regarding some methodologies, terms, and phrases.
I got my copy for $35 in the "bargain bin" of a bookstore in Santa Fe. While the online guide is great, it has a few underlying tricks they fail to mention during install and that's ok for a free install guide - not for a published book. I purchased this book from another vendor, but I liked it so much and have purchased so many books from Amazon that I decided to review it here for others.
