Did we suffer in the progress? oh yeah we did! but in no time, ( for us two nights) our son was sleeping thru the night, from 8:00pm to 8:00am.
We have romantic dinners now. I went almost a quarter into the book before realizing that it was actually book 2 in the Unclaimed series. The original version had a white cover with garish orange print. Even if you've read it before, read it again.. Virtue signaling at its finest. i.e. For instance, the chapter on Differential Equations would be inaccessible to the non-Mathematical reader were it not for such boxes retelling the lives and times of people like Bernoulli, Euler, Lagrange, and Laplace.
The early chapters deal with Babylonian and Greek developments, the latter with well presented biographies of Aristotle, Plato, and Euclid, among others. But if you're looking for a newer, updated, or otherwise revised edition than Budge's, which has been in print for a century now, skip it.
