This volume considers the current state of research, offering a critique of current approaches to Catholic Biblical scholarship from a Catholic viewpoint. The authors (they're both Catholic theologians: Johnson teaches at Emory U., Kurz at Marquette U.) have contributed five chapters each on their approaches to Biblical interpretation, chapters in which they respond to each other's work, and a co-written conclusion offering their views on the importance of maintaining a Catholic identity in Biblical scholarship.
I am a professional photographer, and you probably are too (it seems everyone is, these days). The book has great pacing. I didn’t enjoy it or the drama that surrounded those years – especially the “romance” drama, so I avoid books about it - even those with a “happily ever after” unless there’s a REALLY good story that surrounds it.
There was fantastic momentum and I loved every page right up until the cliff-hanger ending. That was Marcus' voice. My favorites are what a mother runner looks like at each decade, the unsolicited advice starting on page 92, and the “Today I ran…” section. THANK YOU for this excellent book! I will be recommending it whenever I have the opportunity to do so. An absolutely stunning story full of mystery, intrigue, and all sorts of sexy.
The story centers on a college senior named Marissa. I’m just really hoping she takes a stand, shows of her independence, and protects
